Winterworkation in Åre
Once you enter a place looking like a winter wonderland outside you also want to stay at one right? During last weeks Winterworkation in Åre all of us 34 influencers stayed at Holiday Club in Åre and the place was more than a hotel. It was more an experience center where you could do more things than sleeping and hanging out infront of the chimney in the lobby. I promised a review on the hotel so here we go, my personal thoughts about this place.
Hotel rooms
The rooms were like hotel rooms designed with a cozy mountain feeling. Nothing special except from the fantastic view over Åresjön and the mountains. A view I would pay for waking up to.
Food
We ate all our meals at the hotel and for hungry skiers the breakfast buffet was incredible. If the brekkie has fresh fruit, sourdough bread and müsli where you can add components yourself I give it five stars. This was one belonged to that category. For dinner we gathered at the healthy and vegetarian restaurant Grow at the hotel which served food that I didn’t liked although I am almost vegetarian. The dishes were too trendy for me but there were a few eatable things that tasted great for example some mushrooms we got one day and therefore I give two out of five stars to this restaurant.
Experiences
Holiday club has a whole lot of things to experience. The gym chain SATS recently opened a gym with a magic view which I of course tried out. The gym itself was perfect when it comes to size and they also offered classes that I did not tried this time but I wouldn’t mind joining a morning or after ski yoga class. But the gym was not the best part, it was Sauna world and all swimming pools. I am a pool junkie and this was heaven. Indoor and outdoor pools and a whole lot of saunas to try out. I just wished I had more time to spend checking it all out. At my instagram pillab you can watch a movie I made from the pool and SPA area. Other than this in-house activities the hotel had a ski rental shop and was connected to a shopping center which is quite convenient I have to say.
To sum up I would say that Holiday club suits the ones enjoying to do a lot of things. It is not located in the right of the slopes but just a ten minutes walk away. This is a place that I definitely would recommend others going to Åre that wanna do more than skiing to stay at. Do you have a favorite place to stay at in Åre?
One more question, I rarely blog about where I stay when I travel. Is that something you would like to read about in future posts?

Yes please, more hotel reviews! 🙂
Fantastiskt gott.
