Finisher tees on the catwalk
Have you ever been running any race or participated in any sports event where you get a t-shirt? Every year my t-shirt collection grows with the number of races I am running. Some of these freebees are nicer than others. Some are not my style at all so I do not even bother about bringing them with me. Others are the very best kind of training tees. I made a photoshot with myself as a model including some of the tees occupying space in my closet. Let me present the catwalk of finisher tees.
San Francisco, Golden Gate halfmarathon
Good material, good fit and long sleeved. My kind of finisher tee that is a keeper in my closet.
Singapore Kindness Run
Not my style. Terrible fit (maybe better at Asians), filled with sponsors on the back and definitely a no wear item. Bye bye finisher tee – you can move out from my closet.
I like the color scheme and the fit of this tee but the material is terrible. Also the fact that the tee is filled with a lot of sponsor logos. No go for this one.
This Nikie tee is one of my first picks among all training tees from my wardrobe. I love the style, shape and everything with this one. Super comfy and I train in this one every week.
I kind of like this tee. A bit to thick material but in my taste but pretty nice to wear when you are running outside. Or going to the gym. Not my favorite pick when it comes to group exercise though. But I keep this one.
This long sleeve tee feels like a PJ. It is super comfy and I use it not for training but to wear over other tees while walking to and from the gym. Okey, sometimes I run in it during the summer. A keeper one.
TCS Amsterdam marathon
TCS Amsterdam marathon get five points of five for their finisher tee. Good material useful for the purpose and nice colors. Although the tee has plenty of sponsor text on it it more looks like a sports team tee than a sponsor-sponsor one. I keep this one for the comfort and the colors.
Big Apple Half marathon
A frosty day in December 2017 I was running Big Apple Half marathon i Central park where I got this long sleeve tee. I haven’t worn it that many times but still a keeper. Why? I like the design, comfort and it was a fantastic race with good memories. I love running in central park and although my preparations for this race was non existing I had a blast.
Los Angeles marathon
The back is empty and this is a Sketchers tee. The same company were also title sponsors of Los Angeles marathon which I ran a few years ago. One of my favorite marathons and the finisher tee is also a favorite of mine. The Americans know how to decorate their tees. Full points to this one.
TCS New York marathon
This oldie is now four years and still going strong. I have worn this Asics tee numerous of times during trainings and it still keeps the shape and does not smell. The fit is also good on my body.
This was the end of the digital catwalk of finisher tees. Which one do you like the most of the above ones? what is your general opinion about finisher tees?
